RADIUS ACTIVE is the new thermal activator, in just three models, 45×86, 45×120, 45×240, to create radiant surfaces completely integrated into standard plasterboard technology and its dimensional parameters.
RADIUS ACTIVE fits inside the metal support structure, reducing the necessary thicknesses and it is only covered at the end with the sheet that you choose to adopt, in the various versions of plasterboard but also with wooden matchboarding.
Extremely high thermal output, great simplicity and speed of installation, perfect division of roles between the plasterboarder and the plumber with consequent optimization of the construction phases and responsibilities.
With RADIUS ACTIVE, summer and winter radiant system reaches the top of performance and application, both in existing and new buildings.
With RADIUS ACTIVE, since there is no longer any plasterboard and with a weight of only 3 kg in the largest model, transport and handling costs are significantly reduced, reducing inconveniences and waste of time and thus facilitating and lightening everyone’s effort and work.
RADIUS ACTIVE complies with the standard interaxis and regulations of plasterboard structures, even using a special profile with built-in custom-made joints, marketed by Messana, which further simplifies the plasterboarder’s work, making it impossible to make mistakes.
His work phases, thanks to the upper profiles with built-in 50-pitch trapezoidal joints, which replace U spacer hooks, are speeded up compared to those that would be required in the creation of normal false ceiling structures. In the closing phase with the sheets, the presence of the activators will be completely neutral for him and will be performed in one go and with much less filling. The sheets, supplied by him, will be in standard sizes (200-250-300) and in all the versions that the market makes available (normal, fireproof, water-repellent, sound-absorbing, etc.) thus making his work smooth and simple.
He will supply and install the activators and the entire quick connection system up to the final testing. Installation times are significantly reduced, compared to those required by floor systems, and facilitated by the extreme modularity that does not require specialized personnel and difficulty in interpreting the layouts.
The structural and hydraulic functions are therefore separate and independent, without overlapping responsibilities and with maximum optimization and clarity of phases and roles.
RADIUS ACTIVE draws its origins from the over thirty-year experience of Roberto Messana, the father of modern radiant system, and from the new lifeblood of ideas brought by his son Daniele.
Thanks to the special joints contained in the panels, which can be defined as “absolute joints” since they combine the simplicity of the quick coupling (without external joints!) with an exceptional hydraulic seal and mechanical retention, RADIUS ACTIVE has all the connections inside it, also managing the sliding of the tube, thus absorbing the thermal expansions.
Consistent with this concept, RADIUS ACTIVE, thanks to the geometry of its pipes, makes it as easy as possible to insert spotlights, sprinklers, sensors, speakers, etc. that are larger than with other panels on the market.
The clear span between the coils is 72 mm (80 mm of interaxis thanks to the efficient 4/10 thick aluminum exchanger) so it is easy to make holes close to this size.
RADIUS ACTIVE also allows you to create narrow and elongated shapes, ideal for example for insertion between exposed beams or to create the most varied surface combinations such as those illustrated in the book by Roberto Messana “Radiant Architecture – Foundations of a new environmental well-being”, ed. Tecniche Nuove.
This function, in which Roberto Messana has set a precedent, remains one of the salient features of RADIUS ACTIVE that allows you to forget about the problem of circuit calibration.
The circuit geometry of RADIUS ACTIVE together with the choice of pipe diameters (8×1 and 16×1.5) makes venting air extremely easy during filling operations and avoids its stagnation in operating conditions. Therefore, less time is spent commissioning the system and there is less likelihood of interruptions in its operation.
